The Empire QuiltFest 2020 – EQF X Diamonds and Daffodils – scheduled for April 4 & 5 and Shenendehowa High School East in Clifton Park has been CANCELLED due to the ongoing concerns over the corona virus. We thank all those who planned, entered, volunteered for, and committed to vending at the show.
We will be in touch in the next couple of weeks with information about refunds for prepaid fees. Thank you so much for your support of EQF and please stay safe.
Please enter the Empire QuiltFest. The participation of quilters of all skill levels is what makes our show a success. Simple quilts are beautiful in and of themselves, and they also encourage others to enter a show and/or try quilting. Complex, advanced quilts are inspiration to all of us, quilters and non quilters, old and new.
The Entering a Quilt page has all the information and links to the forms that are needed for submission. Remember your quilt does not have to be done on 2/15, but your registration has to be postmarked by that date.
The speakers for the Empire QuiltFest 10th Anniversary show have been announced – TIMNA TARR will be telling us all about “Flying Colors” on Saturday, April 4th! Visit her website at timnatarr.com to learn more about her and see some of her astonishing work.
On Sunday, April 5th, DEBBY BROWN speaking on machine quilting. Some of you might remember Debby from her fun visit to Quilt North last October last year (everyone wanted her shoes!). Each lecture is $15 and at 1 pm Saturday and Sunday. Use the Payment Form to purchase your seat and your admission in advance and save $3.
The Empire QuiltFest’s 10th show will be Saturday and Sunday, April 4 & 5, 2020. It will be held for the 5th time at Shenendehowa High School East, which is on the Shen campus at 970 Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Details about the show will be added to this site as they become available. Save the date and plan on joining us for “Daffodils and Diamonds.”
We are waiting for confirmation of our show dates, but lots of planning is still ongoing. The theme “EQF X – Daffodils and Diamonds” has been chosen to represent the tenth Empire Quiltfest. Daffodils and diamonds both represent the 10th anniversary and present lots of opportunity for interpretation and inspiration for quilt entries. Start planning yours.
